Bruce Wayne Goes Electric: Automobili Pininfarina Unveils Bespoke Hypercars Inspired by Batman

Posted on May 1, 2024

Gotham’s most famous billionaire playboy has taken his taste for luxury to the electric hypercar scene. Automobili Pininfarina, the Italian design house known for its stunning automobiles, has unveiled a collection of bespoke, all-electric vehicles inspired by Bruce Wayne, the alter ego of DC Comics’ iconic Batman.

This unique partnership, forged between Automobili Pininfarina, Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, DC, and Relevance International, brings the fictional world of Bruce Wayne to life with two exclusive versions each of the B95 hyper Barchetta and Battista hyper GT models.

A Match Made in Luxury

The collaboration between the two brands isn’t entirely unexpected. Bruce Wayne, known for his visionary entrepreneurship and passion for cutting-edge technology, perfectly aligns with Automobili Pininfarina’s philosophy of bespoke Italian design and sustainable innovation.

This partnership extends beyond aesthetics. Clients who purchase these hypercars will experience the same level of meticulous customization offered by Automobili Pininfarina’s “Dream Cars. Made Real” philosophy. Imagine co-creating your dream electric hypercar with Pininfarina’s artisans, just like Bruce Wayne might!

Gotham and Dark Knight: Unveiling the Bespoke Collection

The two unique specifications, aptly named “Gotham” and “Dark Knight,” embody the duality of Bruce Wayne’s persona.

The Gotham versions, inspired by Wayne’s civilian persona, exude elegance and sophistication. Both the B95 and Battista models boast a luxurious tan leather interior with bespoke quilting and stitching. The exterior features a stunning Argento Vittorio gloss paint job on the body, complemented by a contrasting Goccia roof in Nero Torino gloss paint.

The Dark Knight versions, reflecting Bruce Wayne’s vigilante side, offer a more aggressive aesthetic. Black Alcantara and leather upholstery with a striking black and gold stitching scheme dominate the interior. The exterior, finished in a menacing Nero Profondo gloss paint with a matching Goccia roof, is further accentuated by Glorioso ceramic-polished rims.

Performance Befitting a Superhero

Both the Gotham and Dark Knight versions pack a serious punch under the hood. Powered by a high-capacity 120kWh lithium-ion battery and four electric motors, these hypercars generate a staggering 1,900 horsepower. That translates to a mind-blowing 0-62mph sprint time of less than two seconds, exceeding the performance of current Formula 1 cars.

Automobili Pininfarina hasn’t skimped on the tech either. The vehicles boast all-new Wayne Enterprises-inspired HMI display enhancements, featuring an instruction voice curiously reminiscent of Bruce Wayne’s loyal butler, Alfred Pennyworth. The Battista models also receive performance-enhancing tweaks, including aerodynamic upgrades and subtle Wayne Enterprises logos displayed on the side skirts and roof.

A Dream Becomes Reality

This collaboration isn’t just about creating luxurious electric hypercars. It’s about bringing Bruce Wayne’s vision of innovation and sophistication to life. From the subtle use of the Wayne Enterprises logo throughout the vehicles to the bespoke features inspired by the world of Batman, these cars are a true embodiment of Gotham’s most iconic billionaire.

For those interested in acquiring a piece of the Batmobile legacy, these bespoke hypercars will be available for purchase through a dedicated website, BruceWayneX.com. Additionally, an exclusive retail experience featuring an Automobili Pininfarina Battista will be unveiled this summer, offering a chance for potential buyers to get up close and personal with these dream machines.
