Everrati Reimagines the Legendary Porsche 964 RSR with Electric Heart and Motorsport Soul

Posted on January 2, 2024

Everrati Automotive Limited, the leading name in sustainable luxury reimaginings of classic cars, has unveiled its most driver-focused creation yet: a modern electric homage to the legendary 1993 Porsche 964 RSR. This thrilling new addition to Everrati’s portfolio combines the timeless essence of the iconic race car with cutting-edge EV technology, delivering an exhilarating driving experience with zero emissions.

Honoring a Racing Legacy

The original Type 964 RSR 3.8 was a rare beast, a mere 51 examples of this lightweight, rear-drive, turbo-charged beast hitting the track in 1993. It breathed new life into the prestigious RSR badge, first seen on the 1973 911 Carrera RSR and later gracing the most track-focused iterations of subsequent 911 generations.

Everrati pays tribute to this motorsport legend with a meticulously crafted homage. Starting with a restored 911 (964) narrow-body, the RSR-inspired edition embraces the original’s lightweight ethos. Rear seats are removed, a roll cage adds rigidity and safety, and lightweight driver and passenger seats, clad in the world’s lowest carbon leather from Everrati partner Bridge of Weir Leather, further enhance the driver-centric experience.

Modern Performance with Classic Character

The exterior is equally captivating, featuring eye-catching carbon-fiber bodywork and a completely new aero package. The larger rear spoiler echoes the iconic 964 RSR’s silhouette, while a revised front splitter optimizes downforce. Lightweight 18-inch HRE wheels complete the motorsport-inspired look.

But beneath the sleek skin lies the true innovation. An OEM-grade 63kWh battery pack and the latest generation of Everrati’s advanced battery management system power high-performance electric motors, delivering an electrifying 0-60mph time of 3.7 seconds and a range exceeding 200 miles. This Gen2 system boasts improved cooling, a refined drive controller, and optimized software, ensuring peak performance and efficiency.

Tailored for Every Drive

The driving experience is further enhanced by TracTive suspension, a premium electronically controlled system offering multiple settings to optimize comfort, performance, and handling for both road and track. Apple CarPlay, AC and DC Fast charging capabilities add modern convenience to this classic-inspired machine.

Everrati Founder and CEO Justin Lunny said: “This exciting new addition to our range of redefined and electrified 911s is without doubt the most driver-focused yet. Paying homage to a legendary model from three decades ago, our new ‘RSR’ gets pulses racing with a host of lightweight enhancements, resulting in an unrivalled experience that combines the best of classic design with modern, zero-emission, performance.”

A Global Collaboration

The new RSR-inspired model, like all 964-based variants in Everrati’s range, will be built by production partners Aria Group, based in Irvine, California. This partnership underscores Everrati’s commitment to collaborating with the world’s best specialists to ensure exceptional quality and craftsmanship.

Everrati: Preserving the Past, Electrifying the Future

This latest creation joins a growing portfolio of Everrati’s reimagined icons, including electric versions of the Porsche 911 (964) Coupe, Targa, Cabriolet, and G-Series, alongside Range Rover Classic, Land Rover Defender, Land Rover Series, GT40, and Mercedes-Benz W113 SL ‘Pagoda’. Each car embodies Everrati’s mission: to preserve the legacy of automotive icons while paving the way for a sustainable future of luxury mobility.

Everrati previously electrified a regular Porsche 911 (964) Coupe

With the RSR-inspired 911, Everrati proves that classic design and modern technology can seamlessly blend to create an exhilarating driving experience that transcends generations. This electrifying homage to a motorsport legend is a testament to Everrati’s dedication to innovation, sustainability, and the unparalleled thrill of the open road.

Henry Benz isn't your average automotive journalist. He's not obsessed with horsepower or zero-to-sixty times. His passion lies in the quiet hum of electric motors, the surge of instant torque, and the thrill of a world hurtling towards a sustainable future. Henry is the EV evangelist, your plug-in pal, and the guy who will make you fall in love with the world of electric vehicles, one test drive at a time.

Henry's journey began in the golden age of muscle cars. He spent his youth wrenching on classic V8s, his nose forever stained with grease and his ears ringing with the roar of internal combustion. But as the climate crisis loomed larger, a seed of doubt sprouted in his gearhead heart. Could there be a way to enjoy the thrill of the open road without sacrificing the planet?

That's when Henry discovered the world of EVs. He was captivated by the silent power, the instant acceleration, and the sleek, futuristic designs. He devoured every article, watched every documentary, and hopped behind the wheel of every electric car he could find. He was hooked.
