Polestar 4 Arrives in Europe and Australia, Bringing Style, Performance, and Sustainability

Posted on February 2, 2024

Polestar, the Swedish electric performance car brand, has announced the official launch of the Polestar 4 in Europe and Australia. This innovative SUV coupé marks the brand’s third model and promises to redefine the segment with its stunning design, advanced technology, and focus on sustainability.

A Fusion of Style and Performance

The Polestar 4 draws inspiration from the brand’s acclaimed Precept concept car, featuring a sleek silhouette, a panoramic glass roof extending beyond the rear occupants, and a unique elimination of the rear window. This bold design choice creates an immersive rear experience while maximizing headroom and light.

Performance is equally impressive, with the Polestar 4 being the brand’s fastest production car to date. The Long Range Dual Motor variant boasts 400 kW (544 hp) and can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. Both dual- and single-motor options are available, offering drivers a choice between exhilarating power and efficient cruising.

Sustainable Innovation

Polestar remains committed to sustainability, and the Polestar 4 boasts the lowest carbon footprint of any Polestar car at launch. The use of recycled materials, bio-attributed plastics, and responsibly sourced leather exemplifies the brand’s dedication to environmental responsibility.

Tech-Focused Experience

The Polestar 4 features a state-of-the-art infotainment system powered by Android Automotive OS and the Snapdragon Cockpit Platform. A large 15.4-inch landscape-oriented screen integrates seamlessly with Google Built-in features like Google Assistant, Maps, and Play, offering a connected and intuitive user experience. Regular over-the-air updates ensure the system stays up-to-date and evolves with new features.

Safety First

Safety remains a top priority, with the Polestar 4 equipped with leading-edge technology from Volvo Cars. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) like SuperVision from Mobileye, twelve cameras, and twelve ultrasonic sensors provide comprehensive protection and peace of mind.

Pricing and Availability

The Polestar 4 is now available for online ordering in Europe and Australia, with a starting indicative price of £59,990 in the UK. Production is scheduled to begin in mid-2024, with first deliveries expected in August.

With its blend of cutting-edge design, exhilarating performance, and unwavering commitment to sustainability, the Polestar 4 is poised to shake up the electric SUV coupé segment. Its arrival marks a significant step forward for the brand and the future of electric mobility.

Henry Benz isn't your average automotive journalist. He's not obsessed with horsepower or zero-to-sixty times. His passion lies in the quiet hum of electric motors, the surge of instant torque, and the thrill of a world hurtling towards a sustainable future. Henry is the EV evangelist, your plug-in pal, and the guy who will make you fall in love with the world of electric vehicles, one test drive at a time.

Henry's journey began in the golden age of muscle cars. He spent his youth wrenching on classic V8s, his nose forever stained with grease and his ears ringing with the roar of internal combustion. But as the climate crisis loomed larger, a seed of doubt sprouted in his gearhead heart. Could there be a way to enjoy the thrill of the open road without sacrificing the planet?

That's when Henry discovered the world of EVs. He was captivated by the silent power, the instant acceleration, and the sleek, futuristic designs. He devoured every article, watched every documentary, and hopped behind the wheel of every electric car he could find. He was hooked.
