Range Rover Electrifies: Iconic Luxury SUV Goes All-Electric with 2024 Debut

Posted on December 13, 2023

Land Rover’s flagship SUV, the Range Rover, is entering a new era with the highly anticipated launch of its first fully electric model. Slated for release in late 2024, the Range Rover Electric promises to deliver unparalleled luxury, performance, and off-road capability, all while being emissions-free.

Exemplary Design Meets Electrified Performance

The Range Rover Electric boasts a sleek and modern design that retains the classic Range Rover silhouette, while subtle cues hint at its electric nature. Underneath, it houses an 800V architecture for rapid charging and a powerful electric powertrain that matches the performance of the flagship V8 Range Rover.

Quietude and Refinement Take Center Stage

Engineers are meticulously crafting the quietest and most refined Range Rover ever. Expect a serene cabin experience thanks to active road noise cancellation and a focus on sound design. The electric platform further enhances comfort and refinement, setting a new standard for luxury SUVs in the EV segment.

Uncompromising Capability

Despite its electric drivetrain, the Range Rover Electric doesn’t compromise on capability. It will retain Land Rover’s legendary off-road prowess, tackling challenging terrain with wading depths of up to 850mm and towing capacity (with reduced EV range).

A Commitment to Sustainability

The Range Rover Electric is part of Land Rover’s commitment to sustainable luxury. It will be built in the UK on the flexible Modular Longitudinal Architecture (MLA) alongside its hybrid siblings, and its batteries and electric drive units will be assembled at JLR’s new Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre in Wolverhampton.

Early Access for Eager Clients

The excitement for the Range Rover Electric is palpable, and Land Rover has opened a waiting list for those eager to be among the first to place pre-orders. This exclusive opportunity signals the dawn of a new era for Range Rover, one that seamlessly blends luxury, performance, and environmental responsibility.

With its stunning design, impressive performance, and unwavering commitment to capability, the Range Rover Electric is poised to revolutionize the luxury SUV market. As the iconic SUV enters its electric future, one thing remains certain: Range Rover continues to set the standard for luxury and adventure.

Henry Benz isn't your average automotive journalist. He's not obsessed with horsepower or zero-to-sixty times. His passion lies in the quiet hum of electric motors, the surge of instant torque, and the thrill of a world hurtling towards a sustainable future. Henry is the EV evangelist, your plug-in pal, and the guy who will make you fall in love with the world of electric vehicles, one test drive at a time.

Henry's journey began in the golden age of muscle cars. He spent his youth wrenching on classic V8s, his nose forever stained with grease and his ears ringing with the roar of internal combustion. But as the climate crisis loomed larger, a seed of doubt sprouted in his gearhead heart. Could there be a way to enjoy the thrill of the open road without sacrificing the planet?

That's when Henry discovered the world of EVs. He was captivated by the silent power, the instant acceleration, and the sleek, futuristic designs. He devoured every article, watched every documentary, and hopped behind the wheel of every electric car he could find. He was hooked.
