Volvo Cars has kicked off production of its highly anticipated EX90 electric SUV at its Charleston, South Carolina plant, marking a significant milestone for the brand. The first customer-bound EX90 rolled off the production line this week, a head-turning Denim Blue model destined for an American buyer later this year. “The fully electric Volvo EX90 ushers in a new era for Volvo Cars, one focused on safety, sustainability, and human-centric technology,” declared Jim Rowan, Volvo Cars’ Chief Executive. “The EX90, proudly manufactured in the USA, underscores our long-term commitment to our South Carolina workforce and the broader US market.”
