Audi UK has launched its all-new, fully electric A6 e-tron and S6 e-tron models, marking a significant step forward in the brand’s electrification strategy. Available in both Sportback and Avant body styles, these new models offer a combination of performance, range, and advanced technology. The new EVs join the recently launched Audi Q6 e-tron SUV.
Pricing and Availability
The A6 e-tron Sportback performance and A6 Avant e-tron performance are priced from £69,900 (MDP) and £71,700 (MDP) respectively. The more powerful S6 Sportback e-tron and S6 Avant e-tron start at £97,500 (MDP) and £99,300 (MDP).
Performance and Range
Powered by a 100 kWh (94.9 kWh net) lithium-ion battery, the A6 e-tron performance models deliver 380PS and can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 5.4 seconds. The S6 e-tron models, with a dual-motor setup, offer 550PS and a 0-62 mph time of 3.9 seconds.
In terms of range, the A6 Sportback e-tron performance can achieve up to 463 miles on a single charge, while the A6 Avant e-tron performance can travel up to 437 miles. The S6 Sportback e-tron and S6 Avant e-tron have estimated ranges of 405 miles and 388 miles respectively.
Charging Capabilities
The A6 e-tron and S6 e-tron feature 800-volt technology and a maximum DC charging capacity of 270 kW. This allows for rapid charging, with the A6 Sportback e-tron performance capable of adding 192 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
Advanced Technology
The new A6 e-tron and S6 e-tron are packed with advanced technology. Inside, the interior features a spacious and modern design with a large panoramic display incorporating the Audi virtual cockpit and MMI touch screen. The models also come equipped with a range of driver assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control, emergency brake assist, and lane-keeping assist.
Aerodynamic Efficiency
The A6 e-tron Sportback boasts an exceptionally low drag coefficient of 0.21, making it the most aerodynamic series production Audi ever. The Avant model also offers impressive aerodynamic efficiency with a drag coefficient of 0.24.
First UK Customer Deliveries
The first UK customer deliveries for the A6 e-tron and S6 e-tron are expected to begin in February 2025.
