Honda Makes Going Electric More Appealing with Revised e:Ny1 Pricing and Retail Strategy

Posted on April 3, 2024

Honda has announced a significant shift in its approach to the e:Ny1 electric SUV, making it a more enticing option for potential EV buyers. The move comes with a revised pricing structure, a compelling retail finance offer, and a new omnichannel approach that allows customers to purchase the e:Ny1 online or through dealerships.

Sharper Price Tag and Attractive Financing

The starting price for the e:Ny1 has been revised to £39,995 (OTR) for the Elegance model. This represents a more competitive entry point into the electric SUV segment. However, Honda doesn’t stop there. To further incentivize electric vehicle adoption, the company is offering a limited-time retail finance package until June 30th, 2024. Customers can now secure the e:Ny1 for a monthly payment of £299 with a low 1.9% APR Representative and a £3,000 deposit contribution. This significantly reduces the initial financial burden for those considering the e:Ny1.

Flexibility and Convenience with Online and In-Store Options

Recognizing the evolving consumer landscape, Honda is now offering the e:Ny1 through both online and in-store channels, starting from April 23rd. This provides unprecedented flexibility for potential buyers. Those who prefer a traditional dealership experience can visit their local Honda Retailer for a test drive, part-exchange discussions, and finance applications. For the tech-savvy customer, the entire purchase process, including test drive scheduling and financing applications, can be conducted entirely online.

“This new proposition reflects our commitment to innovation and sustainability,” said Rebecca Adamson, Head of Automobile at Honda Motor Europe Limited (UK). “We are confident that it will empower customers to ‘Go Electric’ with enthusiasm.”

Commitment to Electric Mobility

The revised pricing, financing offer, and omnichannel approach demonstrate Honda’s commitment to making electric vehicles more accessible and appealing to a wider audience. This multi-faceted strategy not only addresses price concerns but also caters to the diverse preferences of modern car buyers. By offering both online and in-store options, Honda ensures a smooth and convenient transition to electric mobility for all.

Those interested in experiencing the e:Ny1 firsthand can book a test drive through the Honda website. Additionally, customers can place orders online or through their local retailers starting from April 23rd. With these changes, Honda is poised to make significant strides in the electric vehicle market, empowering a new generation of drivers to embrace a sustainable future.

Henry Benz isn't your average automotive journalist. He's not obsessed with horsepower or zero-to-sixty times. His passion lies in the quiet hum of electric motors, the surge of instant torque, and the thrill of a world hurtling towards a sustainable future. Henry is the EV evangelist, your plug-in pal, and the guy who will make you fall in love with the world of electric vehicles, one test drive at a time.

Henry's journey began in the golden age of muscle cars. He spent his youth wrenching on classic V8s, his nose forever stained with grease and his ears ringing with the roar of internal combustion. But as the climate crisis loomed larger, a seed of doubt sprouted in his gearhead heart. Could there be a way to enjoy the thrill of the open road without sacrificing the planet?

That's when Henry discovered the world of EVs. He was captivated by the silent power, the instant acceleration, and the sleek, futuristic designs. He devoured every article, watched every documentary, and hopped behind the wheel of every electric car he could find. He was hooked.
