GWM ORA UK Shifts Gears with New Naming, Finance Deals, and Color Options

Posted on January 18, 2024

GWM ORA UK has hit the ground running in 2024, implementing a new naming convention, launching enticing finance offers, and introducing fresh color options for its popular ORA 03 (formerly known as ORA Funky Cat). This brand refresh signifies a commitment to growth and expansion, aiming to solidify GWM ORA‘s position in the ever-evolving UK electric vehicle (EV) market.

Goodbye Funky Cat, Hello ORA 03

The ORA Funky Cat, the brand’s first model, has shed its playful moniker and is now officially the ORA 03. This sleek and stylish hatchback comes in two trim levels: PURE+ and PRO+. The PURE+ starts at a tempting £228 per month with a 0% APR finance offer, making it an attractive entry point for EV enthusiasts. For those seeking more range and comfort features, the PRO+ boasts a 260-mile WLTP range and a luxurious interior, starting at £298 per month with a 1.9% APR finance offer.

Fresh Colors for a Fresh Start

GWM ORA UK isn’t just changing names; they’re adding a splash of color to the ORA 03 lineup. The new Moonlight White paint option, with its contrasting Starry Black roof, is sure to turn heads. Additionally, existing colorways will receive new variations, offering even more personalization options for customers.

Celebrating Milestones and Looking Ahead

This brand refresh coincides with two significant milestones for GWM ORA UK. First, they’ve reached the impressive mark of 1,000 vehicles on UK roads, a testament to the growing popularity of their EVs. Second, they’ve expanded their retail network throughout 2023, with 30 points of representation and 16 trusted partners now in place across the country.

Ambitious Plans for 2024 and Beyond

GWM ORA UK isn’t resting on its laurels. 2024 promises to be an exciting year, with the introduction of additional ORA 03 variants, including a sporty GT model. Additionally, the highly anticipated premium saloon model, ORA 07, is set to make its UK debut. To further enhance customer experience, the brand plans to expand its retail network even further, aiming to open one new dealership every month on average.

A Bright Future for GWM ORA UK

With its strategic brand refresh, enticing finance offers, and commitment to expanding its product range and retail network, GWM ORA UK is well-positioned to carve out a significant niche in the UK EV market. The ORA 03, with its new name and color options, is just the beginning of a journey towards a greener and more sustainable future for automotive transportation.

Henry Benz isn't your average automotive journalist. He's not obsessed with horsepower or zero-to-sixty times. His passion lies in the quiet hum of electric motors, the surge of instant torque, and the thrill of a world hurtling towards a sustainable future. Henry is the EV evangelist, your plug-in pal, and the guy who will make you fall in love with the world of electric vehicles, one test drive at a time.

Henry's journey began in the golden age of muscle cars. He spent his youth wrenching on classic V8s, his nose forever stained with grease and his ears ringing with the roar of internal combustion. But as the climate crisis loomed larger, a seed of doubt sprouted in his gearhead heart. Could there be a way to enjoy the thrill of the open road without sacrificing the planet?

That's when Henry discovered the world of EVs. He was captivated by the silent power, the instant acceleration, and the sleek, futuristic designs. He devoured every article, watched every documentary, and hopped behind the wheel of every electric car he could find. He was hooked.
